Senior Pastor of Journey Church
Te Kuiti, New Zealand
A traveler’s worst nightmare is to be struck down with illness in a third world country. This happened to me this year whilst on my fifth trip to Rwanda on a teaching and missions trip. I experienced severe chest pains over a period of several days before beginning the process of referral from hospital to hospital. I finally ended up in King Faisal Hospital in Kigali where I had an anxious wait before being transferred to Karen Hospital in Nairobi.
Once in Karen Hospital the anxiety of the unknown pains and being away from my wife and family in New Zealand was quickly replaced by an assurance that this hospital knows its stuff! The professionalism and resources employed were as good as any hospital that I have ever been to in New Zealand. The staff was quite exceptional and most caring toward a traveler so far from home. Words fail to convey how well this hospital performed, from the I.C.U. to the private room that allowed my traveling companions to be with me.
Thank you so much Dr Gikonyo and your amazing staff… I am forever grateful.
God bless you all.

Dear Karen Hospital,
May God bless your activities and the work your are doing at Karen Hospital. We will be praying for it going back to Arusha. I wish that you continue with the same heart you have to take care of the sick as you did to Sr. Rose.
We say again “ Thank you a lot “.
All the best.
Yours in Christ,
and Sr. Jeannine Marie Mbambu
