The 7th Edition of the African Healthcare Summit was held in London in March 2015. This is a forum for doctors, CEO’s of hospitals and hospital administrators to discuss the challenges that they face in their countries in regards to provision of quality healthcare.

Dr. Betty Gikonyo, CEO, the Karen Hospital was one of the speakers at the conference where she discussed “How to Engage African Diaspora in PPPs and the development of the African Healthcare Sectors.”

We are honored to have hosted the sitting president of the Republic of Kenya his excellency Uhuru Kenyatta, whose visit entailed a tour of various departments at the hospital: radiology, paediatric just to mention a few. The technicians had an opportunity to illustrate to the president various functionalities of the equipment used in their respective departments. As a result most of them were motivated by this rare opportunity.

It starts as an irritation of the throat, then fever sets in, painful joints and a running nose. For most people there are several home remedies that will cure this sore throat.
